The intent of this letter is to speak on the outstanding performance of Reverend Bruce Richard Byers. Reverend Bruce was the minister for my wedding this past October. Although I had over a year to plan my wedding, the one thing I waited to do, was to find a minister. In my last minute struggles, Reverend Bruce came shining through! Not only did he accept my request to have him as a minister (at the last minute), but Reverend Bruce put together an absolutely amazing ceremony!

I came to Reverend Bruce with absolutely no knowledge of how a wedding ceremony should go. The only information I could offer up, was that we were having a Scottish wedding. My fiancé and I did not have vows picked out, much less anything else. The only thing we were sure of, was that we wanted some Scottish traditions incorporated into the wedding ceremony. In the month we had to plan the ceremony, Reverend Bruce did a vast amount of research and fully explored all Scottish wedding traditions. For our ceremony, I really wanted our families to have active roles. Reverend Bruce was phenomenal in fulfilling this request. Reverend Bruce was able to have my mother-in-law perform the pinning of the Tartan and my parents did the presentation of the family sword. We also had a hand fasting ceremony, lighting of the unity candles and a silent blessing. Reverend Bruce was always available and easy to contact. He made the rehearsal dinner fun and light hearted and the day of the wedding was amazing! Not only did he put together an outstanding ceremony, but Reverend Bruce showed up in Clergy kilt! This was the icing on the cake!

Reverend Bruce exceeded our wedding ceremony expectations and he put together a beautiful and memorable presentation. It was a ceremony that was full of emotion, so much so, that there was not a dry eye in the congregation. This was a magical and unique experience. And I have to say, in the times when I could barley whisper my vows, Reverend Bruce was utterly patient and gentle. Reverend Bruce stood by me and gave me all the time I needed. Which in my case, meant saying half a line at a time (for the vows). Reverend Bruce was a blessing and the perfect minister for our wedding.
